Learn and grow at this venture capital and growth equity firm! This firm believes that HR is an increasingly important function and is seeking an experienced Sr. People Operations Specialist looking to expand their skill set into a broader HR role with room to grow. This position is 100% remote!
Roles & Responsibilities of Sr. People Operations Specialist:
- Respond to candidate and employee inquiries regarding HR policies, payroll, systems and benefits
- Manage employee engagement through a combination of qualitative input and quantitative studies (surveys)
- Ensure the company is in compliance with all state and federal laws with regard to HR practices, including Covid policies
- Oversee outsourced HR vendor to manage payroll
- Primary coordinator of communicating, documenting and organizing carried interest allocations
- Serve as the internal contact for benefits vendors for new benefits additions, renewals, and employee enrollment
- Manage relationship with our benefits broker, evaluating
- Stay abreast of best practices in benefits
- Develop a strategy to augment/replace our HR information systems, training managers on its use, and providing reports as needed
- Manage the company organization chart
- Manage the process of posting open roles, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the candidate experience for all positions
- Help implement new applicant tracking system, Greenhouse, and help train managers on its use, and providing reports as needed
- Manage external job posting sites and recruiting agencies
- Manage a company-wide, lightweight performance management program
What we are looking for:
- At least three years of HR experience, preferably in an investment environment
- Experience managing/overseeing payroll; experience with carried interest highly desired
- Comfortable learning new tools and software applications; experience implementing new systems
- High level of discretion; experience dealing with sensitive topics such as compensation and performance
- Demonstrated experience engaging with employees in a supportive manner; able to build strong internal relationships with mutual respect and trust
- Exposure to or interest in the life sciences industry a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- High comfort level with Google Suite
