What you will do:
- Create an inspiring, supportive and informative experience for our staff
- Be an advocate for all staff members, enhancing morale, accountability, retention, safety, performance and opportunity
- Plan and manage department workflow and processes; develop increasing levels of efficiency in all department operations through continual process improvement
- Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and compliant to federal, state and local employment regulations; coaches management policy and best practices
- Develop and lead effective talent acquisition and retention programs and practices
- Build strong relationships with staff, vendors, and guests
- Create and manage onboarding process and new hire documentation procedures
- Offer HR expertise and provide staff with accurate and timely HR information; advise and counsel when necessary
- Manage productive resolution and documentation of employee relations issues and acts as a liaison between managers and staff
- Manage benefits and workers compensation
- Maintain compliance, including proactively updating and communicating policies, documentation, processes and required notices and posters
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years dedicated experience in Human Resources, preferably in a leadership role and ideally with experience building an HR function
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to connect, support, and empathize with a diversity of people and perspectives
- Demonstrated project management, documentation and process building skills
- Solid understanding of local, state and federal employment laws and compliance requirements
- A natural curiosity and drive to help people and make things better
- Collaborator, builder and problem solver
- Commitment to supporting a workforce that has to be onsite by HR being onsite
- Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish or Chinese preferred
